Thread: Any Info on new ships coming in the upgrade?

Does anyone have any info on the new ships coming in the upgrade? I mean, like, any new resources needed, or any special tools, or special parts, or anything like that?
I'm just thinking that someone on Test Center might know this stuff, and might be willing to share...

The current testing is on the CU not on RoTW, so there is no info on the new ships yet.
And if IIscander knows anything I'm sure he's under a non-disclosure agreement.
IIscander you can just nod or shake your head.

Just to point out there is a new beta starting soon for RotW and there will likelybe a new NDA for it. Information on that is coming soon, so if you want the info for yourself please do sign up when it is available. Current update
However that means that the folk on TC-EP3 who will have the info will be under an NDA and unable to release info, so please don't ask. Any info that is cleared to release we will!

Several of the ship types have been declared (including a mining vessel), but there is no word on how we will get the schematics, what level they will be, and directed at which factions.

From a quick glance at the SW tree on test center....
- The new mining ship is named the Y-8
- The schematics for the heavy versions of the Z-95, X-Wing, TIE Fighter and also a Light Hutt Fighter (assuming Scyk) are in the master box.
- There is not a cert for the crafting of the other ships as of yet including the Y-8, but there are two components that I noted that were Y-8 only.
- There are now craftable POB only parts labled for Example Elite Shields (POB Only)... these include a Gauss Cannon, Railgun, 'Null Bolt' Blaster, Engine, Reactor etc
- There are new texture kits for some ships that are craftable as well. The ARC-170 only has 2, but there are kits for other fighters going up to 8 now.
Of course this is the CU test center, so much of it could change. Someone also noted in the Pilots forum :
In thepatch files on TC, there are certs for these new ships that :
Republic Transport
Imperial Transport
Merchant Cruiser
Corsec Fighter
YT-2400
These arent in the live .tre's that Ive looked at, so it would appear that they are being added in the new expansion as a lot of Kashyyyk items are in this TC patch as well.

One can only hope! Those new certs/hulls have me interested too. Maybe I will buy the expansion.

Holy sweet mother of a wookiee...the YT-2400?!? You mean they actually may have listened to that crazy petition off in the JTL forum?
That ALONE would make me buy the expansion!

I wouldn't get too excited though... remeber how long the CU weapons were in the .tre files and there are still some things there that have never been used. I didn't look through them, but just quoted someone else. They very well could be just for NPC's, or be planned for the distant future. At least we know the art is there and done if that .tre went in though.
