Hello, I post here because I would have liked to know why the shipwrights cannot convert their experiences at the village of Aurilla? Why are we the only profession wich can't ?
Thank you for your answer.

That's a good question. I hope to have a complete answer very soon.

While you're at it, what about Pilot xp? (Or Prestige after they've reached master?)

Starship Combat Experience and Pilot Prestige may be a much stickier situation than Shipwright Experience. You might consider dropping by the Pilot Forum to read some of the discusisons about Prestige -> FS Exp conversions. I do hope you get a SW conversion added, though.

Well using Pilot Prestige to get other ship certifications would be pretty cool. Prevent's from pigeon holing everyone into flying the same ships. I figureprolly 10 Million prestige points for each certification.

I like that idea. I am also a master architect, and it is quite tedious. All non sw crafting require factory crates of sub-components. Shipwright is much more simple. Resources in.....parts out. No need for structural modules.

i think the big reason pilot xp and prestige do not convert is that some were paranoid that jedi would get special flying mods and thus be uber in space, too. or so i have been told.
but it does not really hold up for shipwright. we have the same requirements as any ground based crafter, and need never enter space ourselves to do our job (although it certainly helps understand what pilots need). so i, for one, nope swxp becomes convertable to fsxp. then i can leave the non-sw fsxp grinding and get back to doing what i like -- building starfighters.

Theres a degree in truth to that.
THe master pilot bonus is really something nice for a professonal pilot. In essence it's forumla is:
Number of Pilot Factions mastered * MobsXp = Master pilot bonus.
THis is ON TOP of the xp you make for the initial kill.
For example, lets say i kill a 3000xp mob. I have a * 3 modifer on my master pilot bnous (which is max, theres only 3 factions). 3000 * 3 = 9000 xp bonus. Now add that to my initial 3K, and that 3000xp mob is now 12,000 xp.
Can you imagine jedi's getting FSXP killing gunboats and corvettes with that?!

That's for a ... low Tier 4 -ish mob? I went through my most recent Tier 4s skills with a 3x bonus killing Imperial Gunboats which are so common in Kessel. 33k+ base = 130k+ Exp a pop... and I can pop them pretty quickly.
All that leads, though, to the discussion that belongs in the Pilot Forum.
None of it, though, changes the fact that the ShipWright profession is in every way a standard crafting profession that has been left out of the FS converstion process.

This is the Shipwright forum, not the Pilot Forum. Please stick to the SW issue being discussed here.
I had wished in my few months away that the devs had setup something to allow SW to convert FS XP, since the SW Profession does absorb Skill Points, because of the limited amount of Skill Points, I am looking at an incredibly lengthy road to working up enough FS XP to crest my Force Crafting XP chart.
