Thread: Asteroid chunks in paint/texture kits?

I had finally gotten the hang of asteroid mining, when i looked at my schematics and noticed that some paint kits needed asteroid chunks of different types. Whenever i use my tractor beam on asteroid chunks (in a starfighter, havent tried the Y-8 or another POB ship yet)they simply turn into raw minerals in my cargo hold. How do you collect these so called 'ancient, glowing, etc' asteroid chunks that the kits need?

they are random loots you will occasionally pick up while mining. they aren't part of the chunks you are tractoring in, but will just randomly enter your inventory during the mining process
BTW I will buy asteroid resources and those loot chunks, email Pfeebee in-game or drop them at my vendors.

So how much should the chunks and/or the texture kits that use them sell for?
I have not sold either the chunks or the texture kits. Keep lowering my proce. Down to 20k Not worth the resources in my opinion.

I sell my texture kits for 25k. I get most of the chunks from guildies but have bought others for 5k. I refuse to pay more than that for them.

OK so I am still overpriced. Funny how these rare resource pieces are so cheap because no one wants them.

If you do get a chunk, make sure you drop it somewhere in a house before you use it up. Those things are friggin' 'uge!
