I went and gathered the "rare" resources I needed to make a Reactor Overcharger - Mark I to insert into a Mark II Fusion Reactor. Anyway, I made it and it told me that the Overcharger should add about 458 Energy to the reactor I put it in. The last Reacotr I made had 10419 Energy and I didn't use an Overcharger. So I was like sweet I can make one that is around 11k energy. I used the same Tool, 13.05, same crafting station, 45.something and the same materials I hade used on the other reactor. When all was said and done I ended up with a reactor that had 10129 Energy AND was much heavy then the other engine. I had the great successes etc.. Just a bad roll on the random stats generator you think?

Did you use the same materials to make the MK II reactor as the MK I? From what i'm seeing that's the only possible explination for the stats on the MK II reactor.

What was the energy generation experimentation percentage? Sounds too low to me.

You can get a mkII reactor up a 13131 generation rate, using a mkII overcharger.

Use Mark II overcharger for Mark II reactors it will have more energy. Use the subcomponent for the same level of component.

Actually, using a Mark I overcharger in a Mark II reactor is quite useful if you need to shave off a bit of mass. A Mark II reactor with Mark I overcharger generates about 12900 energy and weighs 2850 mass. A Mark II reactor with Mark II overcharger generates about 13200 energy for 3182 mass.
I think the problem was a critical failure or poor resources.

I tend to run out of energy before I run out of mass made a 14497 mark III and had to make 1 item with reduced energy maintenance to get the energy use below 14500.

maybe you "stop" exp by clicking on the wrong button.
It happend to me one or two times. So much fun...
