Shipwright Archive
Thread: Shipwrights: I would like some input on how to make my ship better (details inside)
mm i would go with one wep hi in armor VS. and one hi in shield VS.
oh and who ever made the engine and shield needs to go back to shipwright school!
Off the top of my head, you can do much better on the booster, capacitor, and droid interface.
Keep an eye out for a lv1 looted droid interface - you can catch just about the same speed but with much lower mass.
That's a pretty good speed on the booster, but you can do way better than 1371 energy - I RE boosters with 2039 energy pretty often.
You can catch a capacitor with 43 recharge (or higher) with higher energy than 885. I believe I RE'd one the other day with 47 recharge and over 1k energy.
I don't know what cert level your weapons are at, but I have crafted lv9 ion & disruptors with over .9 on their respective vs. Otherwise, you may want to think about just using one blaster with max exp on rate of fire and vs. shield/armor - you may be able to fit some armor on there that way.
I wish I had my crafted stats handy...I think I can do better than the shield and engine as well. You may want to shop around some for those.

Reactor Mass: 1702.9
Reactor Gen rate: 12985.6
(Of course there will always be room for improvement, and as the load out changes, so should the reactor, right now I have the lightest reactor that can closely match the output of my ship. If there is any other out there that can do this job better, I want it)
Booster mass: 2548.6
Booster energy: 1371.5
Booster recharge rate: 23.4
Booster consumption rate: 101.3
Booster acceleration rate: 35.3
Booster top speed: 26.5
(Meh... boosters /shrug)
You can get a shipwright to make you a 800+ Mass Mark I Reactor with Limiter but at 11k+ Regeneration. (With good resources) On Flurry I make those Reactors on request and in fact I am using one of these featherlight reactors on my Bell-22
I use 800+ Mass Mark I boosters with overcharger too if I can remember correctly it has 30+ speed about 28+ acceleration recharge of 22+ energy of 900+ and most importantly consumption 90+ which brings it a low mass nice recharge 10 sec boosters.
My bell loadout is a freak =) I don't have reward engines no reward shields. I'm using all crafted. I'll post the stats once I get back home.
I humbly offer to you:
my Bel-22
Mass: 89187/90000
Energy: 12081/12986
Reactor Mass: 1702.9
Reactor Gen rate: 12985.6
(Of course there will always be room for improvement, and as the load out changes, so should the reactor, right now I have the lightest reactor that can closely match the output of my ship. If there is any other out there that can do this job better, I want it
Engine mass: 22009.3
Engine pitch: 75.0
Engine yaw: 76.4
Engine roll: 73.9
Engine top speed: 81.8
(I’m always willing to sacrifice a few points on top speed for a higher pitch yaw and roll rate, of course lower mass is always a good thing too)
Shield mass: 16985.6
Front shield: 1716.8
Rear shield: 1716.8
Recharge: 12.84
(/sigh the cost of protection I suppose, this thing is massive, but since I have no armor, I got to have something)
Armor: I wish
Capacitor mass: 4055.2
Capacitor energy: 885.6
Capacitor recharge: 43.0
(A capacitor isn't that high on my priority list, I’m always running weapons cap overcharge III, but I’m a perfectionist, so again, if it’s out there, and its better, I want
Booster mass: 2548.6
Booster energy: 1371.5
Booster recharge rate: 23.4
Booster consumption rate: 101.3
Booster acceleration rate: 35.3
Booster top speed: 26.5
(Meh... boosters /shrug)
Droid interface mass: 12664.0
Droid interface speed: 13.2
(Unfortunately, since I rely on my droid programs to save my ass [cap to shield shunt III] I need a fast DI, unfortunately fast speed=heavy mass)
Weapon 1 mass: 14630.4
Weapon 1 damage: 1646.6 - 2546.6
Weapon 1 VS shields: .720
Weapon 1 VS armor: .240
Weapon 1 energy per shot: 23.2
Weapon 1 refire rate: .360
Weapon 2 mass: 14590.7
Weapon 2 damage: 1640.6 - 2563.1
Weapon 2 VS shields: .130
Weapon 2 VS armor: .830
Weapon 2 energy per shot: 23.2
Weapon 2 refire rate: .360
(my weapons are a constant source of frustration, I find myself constantly swapping parts, juggling stats.... in turn making me have to swap my reactor, which makes me have to swap other components... yadda yadda yadda; Its irritating. I also understand that using an Ion/disruptor combo is a controversial action, but it seems to work, I’m not saying I know that its better, not by a long shot, so any info would be good.)
Countermeasures and missiles: heh... not with this load out.
Droid programs:
Cap to shield shunt III
Engine overload III
Weapons overload III
Reactor overload III
Capacitor overcharge III
There it is folks, have at her, and don’t pull any punches.

My advise is always to shop around looking for RE vendors. Bizarly you might want o look for ones that done have a hundred or more items on them. Some SWs RE everythgin without thinking and chuck it all in the vendor hoping for gullible customers to come in.
The more reputable SWs that i have met tend to save up their loot and actualyl pick and choose what goes into an RE job. These peopel usually deal in quality goods.
Also...what is wrong with an ion/disruptor combo? I use one myself and think it is awesome. Both mine are rigged for rapis fire, it's like lettgin rip with with a pair of uzis! (or so i woudl imagine, havign never actually fired an uzi!).
Anyway, shop around, and if you find a crafted goods vendor with decent stuff in, try gmailign the SW in question. They may be willign to do a custom order for you.
FInal note: if you are strugglign on mass, lose the booster.
Some of my recent RE's
Incom Heavy Blaster --- Level 7
Mass 14528.2
Drain 1981.5
damage 1851.4-2691.5
Vs Shield 0.535
Vs Armor 0.538
Per shot 24.8
Refire Rate 0.322
MandalMotors Heavy Annihilator --- Level 8
Mass 25327.6
Drain 1994.6
Damage 2507.1-3876.5
Vs Shield 0.672
Vs Armor 0.683
Per Shot 13.4 <--- quest reward level 8 gun is amazing)
Refire rate 0.387
Sienar Design Imp Blaster 2 --- Level 6
Mass 9826.4
Drain 1955.9
Damage 1496.5-2257.9
Vs Shield 0.662
Vs Armor 0.678
Per Shot 25.5
Refire Rate 0.397
The level 6 pushes out as much or a bit more damage than a well crafted level 7 can dish, the 7 is stronger than a level 9 crafted and the 8 is well beyond anything a player can craft, it is literally about 1.5x as strong as a good level 9 player made experimental blaster.
just my two cents for your weapons.
1/don t focus on dmg, and find quicker one. Ask your sw to exp refiring rate, and even, to put a quick rate power up.
2/i would try to have one gun for shield, and the other for armor.
3/armor, boosters: take them only if you have room, once you took all the reste.( i prefer to have a good shield with high mass, and then nor armorfor ex).
1. Go to a Mark I reactor and run reactor overload 3 or 4. A 700-800 mass reactor generates plenty of power for you.
2. Lighten up the droid interface. Your capacitor is not charged up by the time your droid interface is ready again. You should not need to shunt that often, that is just crazy. If you can get a pre-nerf, great. Otherwise, a crafted Mark IV is 6600 mass for 15 speed. A Mark III is 2600 mass for 18 speed. You should be able to RE a level 6 to somewhere between those in mass and speed.
3. Lighten up the booster. A Mark I crafted with extended life fuel cell will have similar stats for 800 mass, just a tiny bit slower.
4. A capacitor that heavy should have >1000 energy. Is this one REd? Go to an REd level 2 or 4 capacitor.
5. Get two quickshot upgraded blasters. Your average DPS is 4950 vs shields and 6242 vs armor. A pair of high quality quickshot blasters (0.26 refire) is around 7400 vs. shields and armor. Tell your shipwright to put 9 points into refire and 6 into energy per shot on the upgrades, and 9 points into refire, 3 into vs. shield, and 3 into vs. armor on the blasters. If they cannot put 9 points into refire because their resources capped them lower, find a better shipwright.
6. Try to fit in an REd reward shield. If you still cannot, you should have room for some armor after #1, #2, and #3 above.
