Tier X is the lvl you have to be to fly that ship as a pilot. As a novice you can fly Tier 0. When you are 1xxx you can fly Tier 1, etc...
So as not to be confusing I included which ships were on each tier.

Okay, that does help, but it still confuses me on what to craft to what levels of shipwright. Call me slow, other people do. LOL

Read the above as a recipe with optional ingredients at every step for shipwright.
So for example to master shipwright first get the resources
Step 0: Aquire, borrow or steal; 2.253m Steel, 581k Aluminum, 1.146m Ore, 581k Inert Petro, 539k Iron, 539k Fiberplast
Then make these ships in this order. I recommend a ship crafting droid and standing near the shipwright trainer. If you have all the resources this will take you about an hour.
Step 1: Make 16 Tier 0 ships eg. Z95
Step 2: Make 13 Tier 1 Ships eg. Y-Wing
Step 3: Make 13 Tier 2 Ships eg. Kimogila
Step 4: Make 10 Tier 3 Ships eg. Xwing
Step 5: Make 55 Tier 4 Ships eg. A-Wing.
Or in other words make
16 Z95, 13 Y-wings, 13 Kimogila, 10 Xwing, and 55 Awings in that order training up ship chassis first, then moving on to the other trees. When you finish that you are master.
I recommend though changing what ships you do at each tier and not practicing. The 5% is not worth it and you can sell the ships you used to master. At every tier just replace select one of the ships to make from the list that was provided in the original post.
That make more sense?

Ok, that helps. I appreciate the help y'all. Ever since I first heard of this game (before it was released) I have wanted to build ships. Not for profit, but just the idea of doing it.
Again, thanks for the help bot of you, and for the time it took to put all this info together.
/salute you both

Chassis. You get 1/4 xp per resource in Shipwright, and Chassis are big, very very big. Here's the breakdown:
Note, if you choose to do it in non practice mode you'll need 4 additional Tier 4 ships which comes to 128k steel, 64k Ore, 32k Alum/Inert Petro/Iron/Fiberplast
- 16 Tier 0 [Z-95, TIE-LD, Syck] ships to 1000
- 13 Tier 1 [Y-wing, TIE-F, Dunelizard] ships to 2000
- 13 Tier 2 [Y-wing LP, TIE-I/N, Kihraxz/Kimogila] ships to 3000
- 10 Tier 3 [X-Wing, TIE-B/TIE-I, Ixiyen] ships to 4000
- 55 Tier 4 [A-Wing, TIE-Adv, Rihxyrk] ships to Master

I took this from the sticky post, great info and will be most helpful I'm sure. I am however completely lost on the Tier 0, tier 1 etc. Can someone explain the tiers to me, or is it something that once I get novice shipwright (tonight is the night) it will all become perfectly clear?
