Thread: Missle Pack Quantity Limit?

The highest I have been able to get is 12 shots from a pack. Is this the limit?

Using 1000OQ steel and HQ radioactive I got 10 base exped to 12.



All the artisans in the Galaxy and I cant get a working pair of binoculars.

I thought I read somewhere that missile launchers only have 9 shots, no matter how many charges the missile pack has. Is this true?

I've made concussion and proton missles with 14 charges

I may have made a 15, not 100% sure anymore, but 14 is easily achieved.


Spacebombs have3 limit(unless you can raise it to 4 somehow)


Chaffs probably a 14 or 15, I made 14shot Micro-chaffs.

How are you hitting 13+?? I am using very good resources (green bars ALMOST full) with food/drink in a research center. I think I was at 91% with exp on Mark 1&2 torpedo packs and the quant was still 12. I did hit amazing on the assembly and 1 or 2 times during exp.

Good resources give more that justgreen bars. Good resources are 950+ in each of their primary stats.

Quantity limit depends on the missile or countermeasure type, i believe. Most seem to have a max range of 12-14 with high quality resources.

Yes. It's partially dependant on the missle type...

On Mark 4 protons and Mark 2 Spacebombs, I've gotten as high as 14 and 4 repectively... concussions missles seem to have lower maxes than the protons, but I'm not 100% on that, because I don't make them that often(Most people in my shop prefer the 50/50 damage balance of Blasters and protons). Mark 3 protons seem to top out around 12, and Mark 1s... I think 10, but I don't usually experiment those for ammmo.

I assume everyone is useing the best tools and stations? I have yet to get below 14 after exp and still have 3-5 points left for damage. The Steel is very high quality but radio is just slightly above average. No food or drink and not in a research center. I use +14.58 tools and +44 station and that's it.

hmmmm... looks like I'll have to beef up my tools a bit... I'm barely getting more than 10... but I haven't focused much attention on the missile qty yet as I am still grinding out the Chasis tree.


But this does bring up an idea I'm not sure if anyone has thought of... what if the Devs allowed us to craftexpanded Missile Magazinesfor the missile packs... that way ppl could have more than one missile pack in their ship, effectively doubling the qty of missiles. Just a thought...



...and yes, i realize that the missile packs are designed to represent just such an item... but if we could get just a little bit more...... maybe boost sales??
