what's going on with this? i have been flying around from planet to planet on valcyn,

no lvl 8 components.

it has taken me quit some time to make it to lvl 4 ship component use, and was happy to upgrade.....

i find mark IV and mark Vcomponents...and they jump from 7 to 9...what happened to 8?

at lvl 4 you only get lvl8 certificates not lvl 9.........is this one of those there is no market for these things?

sorry just a little frustrated flying around and swooping over 15k per planet and finding nothing.

i also found that vendors gave an overal idea of not knowing what to sell just a rumble and bumble of things.

unlike most other proffesions that tend to kindaspecialise in certain items.

is this profesion really that broken ?

can only craft lvl 7 and 9

level 8 components can be looted tho

Broken? Some stats might be a little off, but nothing is broken... The only craftable level 8 items are Mark III concussion and Mark II Image-Rec launchers.

I was pretty disappointed when I hit equipment 4 too. The only level 8 loot I use are blasters and shields. Everything else is level 6 and below since I don't fly an MP ship.

You'll get a couple level 8 components as rewards, and plenty for tier 4 duty missions, so the equipment cert at tier 4 is kind of useful. Most level 8 stuff isn't very efficient mass-wise until you get it RE'd, though.

But as for crafted stuff, the only thing I can think of that's level 8 is Mk III Concussions, I think. Which are actually quite useful against the Vette.
