Thread: Trade, Want Ads, and Sales Posts
- Every single profession forum has a sticky from Garva stating that these forums are not for trade, buy, sell posts.
- After perusing other crafting profession forums a little, I do not find these type of posts in these forums.
- Have a little courtesy to those who participate in this forum. It isn't a trade board, it has the intention of serving shipwrights for matters and issues that aren't trade related.
I don't mean to sound like such an ogre, but enough is enough. I'm plain flat tired of the spam.

Shipwrights, even if you are on the right server and can help that person, PLEASE tell them that you'll happily help them out once they post in the appropriate place.
It doesn't matter if five people tell a pilot to go to the trade forum. If one person posts saying "Hey, I'm a shipwright on your server, send me a /t at (insert name here) and I'll set you up" then that's just telling that person "hey, even if a couple of people did get onto me, at least I got what I was looking for."
And the behavior will only continue.
Not sure how I can say this without receiving some nasty flames, but I'll do my best.
First, I agree (please remember this as you flame me). These types of posts have their place and they are not here.
However... the SW forums are FAR from being or becoming a spammed trade post. If you want to see spam, go to the Jedi forums. Posting something there with no replies will be gone in 15 minutes. Here, it's more like a day. Huge difference, so I don't understand your aggression when replying to such posts on our forum.
Now, why am posting this when I agree with you? Because you are extremely rude to our would-be customers which reflects bad on all of us.
Therefore, I have a deal for you. I will follow your suggestion of advising the customer to go to the appropriate location to find one of us, if and only if, you start respecting our customers. I know they are notreading where they are supposed and I know it's annoying, but we keep saying time and time again how Customer Service is the number 1 thing SW's have over any other crafting profession, yet you treat our would-be customers like crap.
Let me know if we have a deal... 
Anyone who reads the stickies knows this Shipwright Forum is not for trade/sales/finding merchants. Anyone who doesn't read the stickies before posting will not know this. I agree lets try to be nice to them and gently point to the right location for that kind of thing.
Now, back to discussing things shipwright.
