whats the best thing to grind. Chassis give 1k+ exp but cost 5k resources. Any other things that are good that dont cost so many resources??? Also, practice on the chassis? or sell them?

All shipwright craftable itemms have a 1xp for 3.8 units of resources ratio, except of course for the component analysis tool. Though with the analysis tool isn't not a ton better and will take you considerably longer to do.
