Thread: all purpose starship repare tool

i dont have a ploblem giving the scematic to the master artisan. (sence i am one) but was it such a good idea of putting it in the general crafting tool only? becouse its not in the weapons/droid crafting tool, i cant experiment on its chages. its at 6k while the non-experemented other starship repare tools have 8k charges. what you guys think?

My guess is they did this to ensure there was a market for the Shipwright made specific repair tools. If you can make a generic repair tool that fixes any type of damage to a ship, why take up 8 inventory slots for all the specific tools? There has to be a desire for the specific tools, and that desire is higher repair charge.


Now, putting it in the generic tool only has other issues. They should make the W/D/GI tool able to craft them, but have a very narrow increase available (or make the increase count but the starting un-experimented tool be very low -- 500 repair points or something). The best generic repair tool should NEVER be better than the worst specific repair tool.

what is the difference in reapairing with the different tools? what is the difference in reapairing in space as opposed to with crafted tools?

space can only repair you so much. then you have to repair w/ tools=decay

I thought at Starter Planets, you can repair fully?

you can repair fully, but max hit points go down. i spind 3k credits after blowing up my ship. but with the all purose i sell for 6k credits for a few more chages. so its cheaper then the space station. i dont know how much charges it takes to repare a ship with an all purpose. and i dont know if it lowers max hit points

Repairing in space causes decay too. what I've notcied actually is you take less decay from repairing on land. Though it might be skewed because I'm a shipwright so I might get a bonus.
