Ok I know the pitch and yaw ratings on engines affect this but excalty how? If I want my ship to run on the inside edge of a dime so to speak what should I be looking for in a engine? And do other components affect this as well??

Your chassis affects this as well. Some heavy chassis like Y-Wings and TIE Bombers will not turn well at full speeds, they work best at about mid throttle. Try it out. Most of them have a "sweet spot" of throttle that they manuever best at.

Some of my pet peeve bugs:
•Armorsmith protection layers were not converted with the CU.
•Ship Details window does not close when you click "Travel" resulting in the message "You have lost the target. Closing interface."

nods..makes sense..so do the pitch and yaw numbers have to be smaller to be tighter turning or bigger numbers?

Larger numbers are better. They represent the speed of your turning.

And all other things being reasonably equal, it's better to have an engine with a higher value for pitch/roll/yaw acceleration, even if that engine has maximum turning rates lower than a second engine.

The first engine will more rapidly hit its maximum turning ratealong a given axis, giving you the feeling the ship is *snapping* into its turn. The second engine will start out its turns slowly, then start turning faster and faster as it approaches its maximum turn rate. You would probably find yourself overshooting your turnsa lot with that engine.

All this, of course, is modified by the chassis which imposes restrictions on those values.
