How many had this happen to you?
Its not fun when you do this on a tier 4 ship, you take a huge loss , i dont think its very realistic.
Too bad there is no recycling in this game be a good way to take junk lying around and get some resources back from it.
Alot of things are made from recycled metals in real world.

You don't lose the resources on assembly, so just click the button again.

Click the back button first. this will dump the resources into your inventory, so make sure you have the space!. Twice I noticed that after a crit fial on assembly combine, then just hitting the Next button again, the initial stats came in below the original combine stats from same crafted items( not sure if this is a bug or not but the second time I noticed it I reported it )

That might be because of the degree of success you had on the initial combine. It can vary quite a bit, I've seen everything from moderate to great success on my initial combines.

yeah...thats the great part about SW. You DONT lose resources ona combine. I had back to back crit fails on combine for an A-Wing. Now that would have S-U-C-K-E-D if I had lost THAT much stuff TWICE IN A ROW.

Yeah this was driving me nuts last night - I was making a component for someone and kept getting failure after failure - I was glad not to have lost anything - but it was still kinda crazy... I think I got 4 in a row... Then got another one in the experiment which meant I did have to start over...

Last night seemed to be particularly bad, at least on Naritus. I didn't have any crits during ship experimentation, but I did end up having to pitch about 200k of level 7 components. Wasn't happy about that.

Bespin port guys...
Iknow you hand craft alot, but as an AS I get really drunk on that stuff
Oh and puollian cakes for the initial assembly
Bespin I use right now +11 to exp roll
Pyollian Cake +15 to assembly

No lie...EVERY time I used that stuff as a WS, I mould IMMEDIATELY get a moderate. I think I'm allergic to the stuff.

lol Im drunk as skunk most of the time when crafting..
you must really have the random number gen against ya mate :-(... I think Ive gotten a moderate when using bespin once... (on a damn RIS part that should have been 80/80 no sweat, came out 80/79 :-()

silver lining to the critical fail cloud force crafting 4-4-0-4
not noticed a single issue with a critical fail admittedly I have had only 5 in over a week of crafting and when i continued with the crafting had no noticable changes in stats compared to an item i crafted previously using the same res
