i just read in the FAQ that REing takes theBEST stats from eachcomponint'scatigory and then gives a 1% bonus per lvl. but when i was in beta i could have swore that it worked differently, i thought it took theAVERAGE of each comp's stats and added the bonus. this was the reason i never cared about it, it just didnt seem to be all that great. was this changed overtime or did i have it wrong all this time?

What does beta have to do with what went live?

back then i was told that it averaged all the stats, i went on believing this up till today. i just want to know if the faq is correct. some of the faqs for other proffessions r not up to date and cant be completely trusted. if it is correct i would like to know for curiosity's sake, if it was changed since it went live or was always like that. im sorry if i offended u with the "b" word but u could have just aswered the simple question, instead of showing sass.

Yes he's right, the faq on that issue is incorrect, the SW Corr wrote that and made a mistake, and posted so here somewhere....

I don't know about "B", but the faq is for the most part accurate with regards to this.
A few exceptions - one to noteis Shields f/r -- the best of each is taken and averaged, and you get equal f/r protection.

Disagree. Just did this one 2 minutes ago. Your front/rear are not equalized or averaged.
Level 2 shield stats
Item 1Item 2Result(before bonus)
Armor 94.292.8 94.2
Hitpoints 94.292.8 94.2
Energy 2624 2736 2624

Must be a random thing then, I did a pair of cert8, and a cert 10 shields with different "best" f/r and all 3 came out with:
2455.2 f/r
2555.5 f/r
2588.5 f/r
It's possible of course that this was the case and was changed, these RE's were done between 11.3 and 11.4.

When you take a shield up into space and then land, it will evenly divide the front/back HP now, I understand. Did this to prevent the shield reinforcement exploit on REing.
