"Empire had the better ending, I mean, Luke gets his hand cut off, finds out Vader's his father, Han gets frozen and taken away by Boba Fett it ends on such a down note, I mean, that's what life is, a series of down endings. All Jedi had was a bunch of muppets."

All fine and well, but I'd rather see the devs focusing on fixing known problems and addressing issues we've brought to the table. The Krayt was a response to an issue concerning the master ships available to freelance pilots; specifically, freelance pilots only had access to the YT-1300, a multi-player ship, while Rebel and Imperial pilots had access to a multi-player ship AND asingle-player ship (that can serve in a fighter role). It is my opinion that anything else right now would be a distraction from real problems that need to be addressed by the devs.

New ships would be nice but to be honest at this point if they add ships either have to add one for all three types as well. New ships also take a bit more time as have to have the artist come up with the image then get it designed to work with curent components. I think a realistic goal would be 3 new ships every 3-6 months but would rather have team working on combat/ground stuff and design new armors and weapons for the ground to add some more spark to there.

As somebody who likes the Shipwright profession very much, I'm concerned.

I want them to make space an exciting place to go.

As things stand, once you get Ace, you don't go back much.

Theres 1 loot item (The blacksun helm)

No quests/dungeons (obviously not real dungeons )

Once the expansion has had it's run in the shops, sales will dry up and the profession might fade out.

In my opinion, SW is the games best crafting profession and I do not want it to end.

Make space as good as the ground please Devs and save our new profession before it's too late.

I don't fully understand how your reply relates to this thread. Are you implying that new ships would "make space as good as the ground"?

If you are implying this, I would tend to disagree that new ships would make space more interesting. Without a reason to go into space, what difference will the ship make?

"...as good as the ground"? If you ask me, the space aspect of the game has gone the exact route of the ground aspect of the game. You master a profession. You kill the biggest, baddest stuff you find. You do some quests and receive some otherwise useless junk. You explore until you've seen everything there is to see. Then what? In my opinion, SOE needs to figure out where players can go beyond master, and hope that Jedi is not their answer (because frankly, I don't see that they have a place in this particular game).

thanks for the replies

the ironic thing is that we have all become so used to pathetic long time spans between a good publish and the next - that 3 ships in 6months time , doesnt seem too bad.

but as folks continue to leave the game for competiton now releasing - its a warning sign to devs and soe to get some work in producing more content and new additions for the game far faster than we have come to expect this past year.

thats what we all pay a premium on subscriptions for in the 1st place - to have regular and updated game as much as possible - not to have trickle patch content .

we love this game - but shipy and rest need alot of love , we are the "flagship" proffession now in the game after jedi/bh with jtl

I have a feeling that with the 'hard' part of the code done for JTL we will probably be seeing other Expansions sooner with the publishes being the smaller revamps/flavor/fixes that they are now. By this mean seeing curent POI's getting touched up, themeparks and the like in publishes and with the Expansions see more in the way of new planets/space zones as well as other races/profs. Also have feeling that soon will have an expansion that pushes the time-line forward a bit more and as such can add in the 'new tech' that comes out of wars. From a marketing view to keep the product on the shelf will need something new every 6-9 months thus why they have the expansions in many games like this. Also as you push out expansions will see just before an expansion repackaging of previous expansions in a new 'form' thus a new product for the shelf. I have a feeling that within the next 6 weeks we will have an anouncement of the next expansion for the game. This will be enough time after the start of the Alpha for the combat update and have a feeling that with that will be new ships/weapons/armor and toys for all. Prob not all relavant to topic and rambling a bit but bored at work
