I am a novice shipwright(0,0,0,1) and sell alot of ordinance like concussion missles and proton torpedos.

I sell them at about 4-6 cpu andi get most of my material at 2-3cpu.

This seems to be a 100% profit to me but i seem to be uncutting the comptetion severely.

Are the prices I am charging consistent to what others are charging or am i completely off?

I am new to the crafting world and just need a little advice on how to price such goods.

Thanks for the help in advance.

I charge 4 cpu since I harvest my own resources (or at least my guildies lend me a lot of lots for free meds and ship components). I'm not in it for the money.

I've seen MKII Spacebombs move at 15 cpu. Paint kits are usually 50 cpu. Go figure.

There's no set rate for prices. However there's certain things that one should think about when pricing.

Price of resources
Quality of final product
Time spent crafting.

Items that use minimal resources tend to get bumped up in price, I suppose because most people are used to seeing higher prices. That, or people really, really value their time.

Thanks for the input.

I guess people really do value their time more than me

Let me know if you guys have any more insight on the mystery of pricing.

I think 4-6 cpu for you is probably a good price, considering you aren't a master shipwright yet. Missiles made by a master will do more damage and/or have more shots, and so should be worth more imo. I sell missile and counter-measure packs for 20 cpu. They sold great at first (pretty much made back my investment into shipwright, and then some), but have slowed down lately so I'll probably have to drop my price (but not too low, hehe ).

I also sell mine for 4-6 cpu also. I mine my own resources though. 6 cpu for the hot sellers, like proton 3. I don't charge a lot for making ordinances because they're made in the factory. Besides, I want pilots to have fun firing off missiles...so they willreturn to my shop for more Even at this price my sales are still pretty slow.

Yes, as MSW I charge 20 cpu for missiles and ordenance, too (premium resources inside). They sell very well and I do not consider a price changing. As beginner and assuming that you will use your grinding resources your price is ok I would say.

I charge 10 cpu for mine. I only really sell mark II missiles (6k) and sensor decoys (2.5k). I use only uber radioactive and uber steel to make them, so they are very high damage/high effectiveness. The supply is dependent of course on the spawns available, but right on chilastra some sick steel and awesome radioactive is up, so I will be making a ton of record breaking ones hopefully . I sell at this price mainly so I can sell them on the bazaar, where they sell very well. Most of my other components are around 15 cpu, but on the bigger items, i lower the price so its not ridiculous.
