That depends on what you mean by best results.
First, you need a private crafting station, and you can put that anywhere that you can drop it.
Second, you want a crafting tool and station with a high rating. The highest rating for tools is 15 and the highest rating for stations is 45. The rating on the tool and station affect your chance of successful assembly.
Third, you can set up shop in a player city that's a manufacturing center, whichincreases your chance of successful assembly. Or, you can set up shop in a player city that's a research center increases your chance of successful experimentation.
Also realize that you can increase your chance of successful assembly by eating Pyollian Cake and/or obtaining Force Assembly skills. You can increase your chance of successful experimentation by drinking Bespin Port and/or obtaining Force Experimentation skills.
However, realize that the rating of your crafting tool and station make a difference. If you want to crank up your chance of success more, move into a player city that is a research center. If you want to crank up your chance of success more
