Thread: Late Fanfest info from the space dev himself

My apologies, I had been planning to post this message as soon as I had gotten back from Fanfest but well... let one day slip by and suddenly a month slips by. Better late than never though.
So on Saturday night of Fanfest, for the closing party I'm at the buffet line talking to Darth_Platypus, the space dev. I thanked him on the great work he did on JTL and voiced some concerns.
Elite Parts
I explained how while they're a little better than Mark V stuff, it's not significant enough. He replied that he is planning to do another balance pass on the Elite stuff again. He said he wants to see more people taking Decimators/Novas/YT's into space and wants to give them the power that is considers a four to five person crew.
Reloading Missiles in Space
I asked if there could be a feature to allow us to reload missiles for POB ships while in space, perhapsto be done bya crew member. His reply, "I thought that was already in." He said the feature was already in place during beta and that he wasn't aware it was gone. He said he'd look why it may have been taken out.
Jedi Starfighter / Belbullab
I explained how the qualities of these ships tend to make all other ships obsolete. It had to be said, even if I'm an Imperial pilot myself. It's cool when you first get the ship but it feels very out of placewhen you and two other buddiesgo into spacein a bunch of JSF's among and blow up X-Wings. He said he'd need some time to look into the statistics of the ships to see how everything balances out, but would rather to enhance underpowered stuffto balance things out rather than to nerf the stuff that is overpowered.
That's all I had time to talk to him before we reached the end of the buffet line. Most important thing to note is to hold on to your mining resources! Another balance pass for the Elite partsshould be in the future.
Oh, and Darth if you end up reading this, I did some searching on the web for Sinistar and I found a wav. file of the old "I HUNGER!" that you know and love.

Heh More proof the Devs Dont play the game.
Also Sinistar Is awsome I have this On PS they actaully took the Prog from the Arcade Version itself. WoW showing age here arent we.

Heh, I know we have said some rough things about the devs, but it's cool to hear that he was interested to get your feedback.
To Darth P, thanks for the cool stuff you've implemented already, we have plenty more feedback to share ![]()
I really like Iscandar's top issues threads. Those seem like they get the best responses, so in his absence maybe someone could start a top 5 issues thread to keep it going for July?
