Hello all pilots and shipwrights. I am a shipwright on kauri server and have had loads of ?'s in regards to travel to advanced planets. I have read that the server always thinks that you are on tatooine, but I am really curious if this is not the way it was designed to not be able to just travel into the advanced planets to keep shuttle service use a must if you do not wish to fly in space via ur own ship. So does anyone have any assured confirmation that it is bugged at the moment, I was in beta as well and I know we could basically travel to any planet we wanted to, but was thinking they did that just to help us out and get the stuff tested.

I also play on Kauri, and it wasn't that way yesterday. I believe you should be able to go to any planet.

No, he's right. The travel button on the Starship Terminal always shows you as bein on Tatooine, and only 4 planets are available in the dropdown(Tatooine, Naboo, Corellia, Lok). This is definately a bug, and will need to be fixed soon. If you launch into space, however, you can chose the Hyperspace function to take you to whichever planet you want.

I haven't started pilot yet (I'm way too busy crafting ships right now). However, from listening to my friends, I believe the planets you can travel to depends on your pilot skill level.

There's a workaround for the "Travel Bug"...seems to work for me everywhere except when I'm on Talus (Imp Outpost, specifically).
Open the Starship Terminal and select your ship...
Next, open the Ticket Terminal nearby, then close it with "Escape" (must be Escape)
Click the Travel button on your ship page and everywhere should show as available.
Pain, but it seems to work (except from talus for me for some reason)
Hope it helps...

Nice little workaround. I like it. Also, I have a theory as to why the Talus doesn't work. It's because you cant Hyperspace to Talus directly. You have to pick the Talus sector of the Corellia planet. Might be the same for Naboo and Rori.

Open the Travel window from your ship. When it comes up with Tatooine, click "Open Galactic Map" (I think that's what the button says, something about the Galactic Map, anyway). Pick your planet. I haven't been able to get to Dant or Dath that way, though. Always had to Launch and Hyperspace there. I'll try the Ticket window/Travel window thing tonight as well to try and get to Dant.

Yes, the travel feature has alot of interesting 'sub-features', lol... there is actually a perfectly reproducible method to trigger it to allow you to "travel" to ANY city on a planet--including player cities and those with no starports--most importantly, with no ship terminals lol... I won't go over the steps since if anyone does it, they have to get a CSR to get their ship back, but you might run across it when using the workaround so be careful. Don't go travelling to Dee'ja Peak!

Oh, my misunderstanding. I always go to hyperspace once in the ship, never paid much attention to the terminals.

I don't know to what extent this is a bug, but there is somewhat of a workaround.
If you go to a ticket terminal in a starport, open it up, close out, and then go to the starship terminal, you will be able to get to other planets. I've done this is a few places and sometimes I get a different listing depending on what planet I'm on.
Based on that behavior it's definitely a bug, but I don't think anyone knows what the proper behavior is supposed to be.

Yeah same here I will try the ticket window workaround myself. Being a shipwright crafter and having to fly for resources wastes alot of time and money on a shuttle so if the workaround works great. I sure hope the devs fix this soon or let us know its as intended but I do not see it being intended if you have a ship terminal at the Imperial Outpost if you can not land there!

Update: Last night in Coronet, I went to the Ticket Terminal, brought up the window and exited with the ESC key. Went to the Ship Terminal, selected my ship and "Travel" and the Travel Window loaded with Corellia and I was able to travel to Dantooine.
This makes me believe that this is a bug with the Ship Terminal's Travel option. Possibly the "current location" variable not being set when the Travel Window is initialized through the Travel option but is being set correctly by the Ticket Terminal.
EDIT: As for the Imperial Outpost, I did not go there, I went to the Mining Outpost. I know when I tried to land from space at the Imperial Outpost in a yacht, they said they couldn't help me while I'm in that "civilian ship" and when I went back in my Z95, the called me "Rebel scum" and I also couldn't land. I decided I'd rather not go there anyway.
