The resources matter for every step. You use junk resources on a supcomponent, you'll get low stats on the final combine, even if you use quility resrouces there.

Agreed.
There are a few items like paint/texture kits that you can use lower quality resource on, but in pretty much everything else, quality matters.

Greetings. I'm a former MDE now MSW and wanted to ask about one aspect of contruction -
Does the quality of the subcomponent affect the outcome of the main component?
For example..
Should I dump maximum QL resources when making a MkV Quick Shot upgrade to be sure it's of the finest quality when putting it in a Blaster?
Or does it not matter, because it's a MkV level subcomponent and has no transferable quality?
If it differs from part to part, is there a location where this information is listed?
thanks in advance

By way of example, when I was a DE:
I could dump grind/poor quality resources into a 'Level 4' storage component, then use that component in a droid. The outcome didn't differ because the component was a 'Level 4' and the resources used to make it didn't matter.
So similarly, when making a Mark V Quickshot component, can I dump any resource into it or do I need to put high QL resources to make sure it's the best?
(when I asked if it differed, I meant if it differs from subcomponent to subcomponent, as I'm looking around, it looks like most of them are leveled components, and not many are simple stand-alones)

subcomponents haves stats which are used in final crafting.
you see datas changing when you exp (ex: refire rate of "quick shot upgrade")
