On Kettemoor I haven't seen this stuff since JTL started. Since in the past these have been the best steels, its all almost gone except what may be horded away someplace. This a bug? Was Carbonite and Duralloy steel suppose to just disappear?

A Duralloy spawn on Starsider just ended a couple days ago. A Carbonite Spawn just started.

I was thinking they just made it rare... Carbonite used to be a common steel...

All these spawns are random. We just have had a duralloy spawn on Chilastra that is the best architectual steel that I've ever had in my hands.

The only difference now is that more people are thinking about steel than before JTL launched, so you notice the dry spells.

Chilastra: Mikka R'zrPoint, Spy (Master Ranger/Master Pistoleer)
Chilastra: Zalle RazorPoint, Trader:Engineer (Master Architect, Master DE, Master Shipwright) - vendors just north of Theed at -3858 6181
Test Center: Rikka R'zrPoint, Master Artisan, Master Architect - showroom just south of Theed at -5370, 3139

Duralloy and Carbonite are in fact more rare now.

In Publish 10 they reserved over a dozen slots for Iron. Then just before JTL they reserved 8 slots for the new resources. Despite this the cap for the total number of resources has only increased by handful. This has left farless slots available for traditional resources.

I tried to calculate some resource types based upon old resource statistics for Tempest compared to the current resource pool:

- Traditional (Non-JTL) Steelis now around 25% less like to spawn than before Publish 10.

- Liquid Petro is around 35% less like to spawn than before Publish 10.

- Unknown types are almost 50% less like to spawn than before Publish 10.

The biggest loss was with Publish 10. JTL only made it even worse...

Duralloy and Carbonite will still spawn, you just have to wait longer between the spawns.

Oops, it should read ... less likely to spawn ...
