Thread: Why Does Shipwright Require Skill Points??

SW needs skillpoints like all other crafting professions do .. the more interesting question to ask should be why does SW still need 200k crafting XPs to reach master while the app XPs that had been needed to become master in all other professionshave beenremoved

None other of the expasion professions require them.. And, they just removed the skill point requirements for politician... hehe, I could be wrong..lol

Mainly because its a branch of the artisan profession.. But, I'm not at all against removing the sp for SW itself.. The ship craze is over, and its mostly about who can make quality parts. Not everyone can make good parts..

Well said weltraum!!! I've only got 100k to go to get master, and its pissing me off, that all the other profs dont need AP or anything else now to master, but ship wright does.

Going out on a limb here, but I imagine thats the way all professions will soon become after the revamp(s).


There were some old statements made far before JTL about how weapons would get 'certification' levels that you earned as skill boxes for example - and lo and behold, thats how Pilot was designed, so I've been expecting the CURB to do the same to ground weaponsactually. You would earn your gun certs in one branch and your upgrade certs in another branch of Carbineer, for example.


Following the same flow of thought, Shipwright was designed while the CURB was in-house, so it already uses exp in place of ap to Master - the rest of the professions probably will eventually too.
