Am I missing something or are we the only profession that does not have skill tapes to aid in our assembly of crafted items?

Thanks,

You're missing something.

BE doesn't have any either.

You do realise you'd need SEA's for:
Chassis Assembly/Experimentation
Booster Assembly/Experimentation
Engine Assembly/Experimentation
Advanced Assembly/Experimentation
Power Systems Assembly/Experimentation
Shield Assembly/Experimentation
Weapon Systems Assembly/Experimentation

That's 14 differnt types of SEA's!

Not necessarily... they could do it as generic as "weapon assembly" or "weapon experimentation" like they did for weaponsmiths. There is no "rifle experimentation", "grenade experimentation" or "melee assembly". It could easily be shipwright assembly and shipwright experimentation like the other classes have.

actually there is grenade experimentation seas. i just sold one on starsider that was +4 clothing attachment

I heard those don't work anymore, they were only used back when commandoes made their own grenades. At least that what I read on the CA and AA guide.

but if they have that many of them, 14, the impact wouldnt be all that severe concerning competing with those who have collected enough of the same type, he only makes good shields or w/e. If it were an overall superCA that boosts all SW crafting rolls, then yea, that would suck.

What about SEA's that are like +2 to making shields but -2 to making weps, but then they'd have to recode the whole deal because only one factor on SEA's work, the dominate one wins. I think it would be kinda cool to be known as a specialist of a specific comp, but not the god SW. (/doh they'd just remove the enhanced clothing to make wep my bad)

Well if you collected all the skilltapes in all categories you would be the god SW but that's not a very realistic possiblity- 12 17 pointing in ALL 14 categories...

i'd love to see it either way, for the seperate ones or one generic overall one, their are parts that definantly could use the extra points, like weapons and engines for sure.....

I rarely get anything lower than great in the assembly and great in EXP. i was flabergasted yesterday when making a something, luancher i think it was, i got a moderate.

So SW was desighned to work well with no SEA's lets keep it that way.

(when doc crafting otoh, i itakes forever to get a great, i have no sea's)

the shipwright profession is working fine without skill tapes,we do not needCA's for SW... and if you want a little crafting bonus you should have a look at the Ithorian and Sullustan stats
