Hello all in the Shipwright community!
I am just hear to inquire about the abilities of RE. I kept reading on the pilot boards about folks who seem to be RE alot of their stuff and I couldnt imagine that they all are Shipwrights as well (at least full fledged ones).
I was contemplating picking up the profession if I have enough skill points to do so...but only to RE my own stuff. What I need to know is....
At what level does one get the ability to RE?
Are extra resources needed to RE on top of the extra components to match the item I am REing?
Currently I am a Master CH, and a Master Rifleman with a bit of points in medic and scout. I would be willing to drop some medic if I can to RE...but how far up will I need to go?

All levels can RE. You are limited however to the level you can RE based on your modifier for that type of part.
Novice lets you RE RE Level 1 items
Tier 1 boxes will let you RE up to RE Level 3 parts of that type.
Tier 2 raises the max to 5
Tier 3 raises the max to 7
Tier 4 raises the max to 9
Master Lets you do Level 10 items.
Each branch focuses on differt types of parts. So going up to Tier 4 in say, Weapons, won't let you RE engines.
Just need the componets, and the REing Component Analysis Tool.
I don't think you'll have enough skill points to make it worthwhile doing though.

yea, i dont think youll have enough skill points, even if you did, youll probably be dissappointed to learn that REing does not get you any xp. youll have to spend millions of credits on shipwright, and the investment doesnt seem worth it if you only want to RE your own loot
