These things are flying off my shelves faster than I can make them, lol.
I strolled into my shop the other day to see a character browsing my vendors. I asked him if there was anything I could help him with that he didn't see on my vendors. He said "Yeah, do you carry paint kits for ships". I had just done a factory run of200 of them the day before and placed them on the vendor in sets of 5 and 10 that night, so I said there should be some on the vendor, try the next button they may be on the second page. I proceeded to look myself so I could confirm this for him, and low and behold there were none there. I quickly opened up my email and sure enough I had been bought out of every single one overnight.
Now I'm not complaining here, but geez these things sell better than anything I have ever made in the game and I have tried several different crafting professions. I've got RE'd reactors with 30k energy and only 10k ish mass that nobody touches, but they can't get enough of the paint and texture kits, lol. It's funny so many people complain about how shipwrights price stuff so high, that takes 10's if not 100's of thousands of resources to make, but they buy these things up by the bucketload and they take the least and any quality of resources to make.
I'm seriously considering just keeping a vendor for paint, one for RE stuff, and set one up just for custom orders and only craft components when someone needs something specific. It's just rediculous how these things sell.

Try charging more for them. Just increase your price a little bit with each batch until they sell at a rate you are comfortable with.

Yeah I could do that, but I already think that I charge a fair price for what I list them for now. I'm not going to quote my specific prices, I feel everyone should charge what they think is fair and see how the market treats them. It's not really an issue of being able to keep up, I mean I can just harvest a bunch of crap resources and make all I want.
I just find it interesting that these things sell so well. I was a master artisan in the past and couldn't sell a vehicle paint kit to save my life, and when I was a droid engineer couldn't make a dime on droid customization either. I ended up just giving them to customers when I did custom orders for them, so they could customize the new item they just purchased from me.
There just seems to be something about the paint kits for ships that people can't get enough of.

Yes, but trying selling paint kits in a zone with mostly Imperials. You can almost see the dust forming.

What are you selling your paint kits for?
I just raised mine from 5k to 10k each kit.

Bigger factory runs...my shop is outside Moenia and I can't keep Texture Kits or Paint Kits in stock. The nice thing is that trash resources are all that are needed.
