Thread: making money with shipwright?

Ok so it seems that chassis hauls bring in a lot of money, but you cannot sell near enough of them to turn a profit so here is my question. What items do shipwrights make their money off of? Is it manufactured components or Re'd components or what? If any accomplished shipwrights could post their successes here I would appriciate it a whole lot. Thank you for your time all.

I don't pull in a lot of money with chassis. I givethem to members of our guild's Navy for free or at cost anyways. I kept the grind ones I made on my vendor in case someone wants them and they make a sale occasionally. I'm thinking of going into selling paint and texture kits but, I don't have the lots fora factory.I'm getting a A LOT of money from selling RE'd components though. I sold a level 10 Capacitor for 300k the other day. Shipwright really isn't a big business on our server though. Space is dead...

Anyway, my advice is, if you can fly, RE loot and sell it.

I keep a log of all ship purchases and since becoming master SW I have sold just under 2mil on ships ranging from z-95 to yt-1300 (master ships built on request).

Theproblem lies in the quality of made parts to RE, so i spend my time in space collecting or buying RE parts from other pilots who I give discounts too.

Most things I sell are purchased , missiles are a big seller but not high cost.

So SW is not a major bread earner but keeps me harvs going. Also I am a pure SW crafter and play all the time in space so I dont normaly need large amounts of cash.

But who knows with the new patch coming up, maybe more ppl will venture up (as JTL is inlcuded). So get your vendor stocked. And spread the word.

One thing get a good reliable rep. I RE'd some guys lvl 7 parts and when he asked how much, I told him "it didnt cost me a penny so dont worry about" (always a chance of a KSE schem) but he tipped me 50k which was nice.

I am now getting more tells from ppl asking for items.

oh and another thing I do is when players buy ships who are new to JTL, I send them an email thanking them and to offer any advice they need. Most of the time they come back with questions and requests.

Hopefully you will keep that customer till ace, which can meanyou make "1mil credits" from each player at the end of the day.

SW can be a major bread earner.

I have sold atleast 50 million in chassis, components, missles and REed loot so it can be a quite nice money maker.

Chasis are a serious waste of time IMO unless your a heavy, heavy miner. I sell all kinds of components daily, and now with the new limit on public bazaar at 20k, I can now start charging wut things are worth. I sell Engines, reactors, shields, cannons and especially armor.

It just depends I think how much you can make. It depends on how social you are and helps to have merchant skills, which are the reasons why I dont make all that much (100-200k a day). But IDC. Its enough for getting by on and anything more is just too much in game maintenance for me- especially crafting/dealing chasis.

I love you chasis corporate giants that I can just send/refer customers to. I dont even want to deal at all with chasis so I walk around with Systems Expert tag.

Money made from selling chassis A million or so maybe less

Money made from selling components about 600 to 650million.

There is LOADS of money to be made from shipwright. If your not makeing any your not trying or you don't have the proper resources.

I generally make a number of Mark II missile launchers and Missiles in mass quantity. Make sure your vendor is full on a Friday night and watch everything sell. I love the searchable vendor features.

I'm working on Shipwright at the moment, I'm pretty new to JTL but my plan was to concentrate only on CM and missle launchers and the packs. Like the idea of setting up my own missle silo. Do you think this is a wise move or not?

I was going to stock all launchers and their packs. I know alot, probably most of them, will be slow sellers, but after the initial set up I expect it would be alright with only a few lines I really have to keep on top of, the others I'd just top up from time to time.

Eventually I will expand to buying loot, REing it and selling it at cost to try and get a firespray schem.

Launchers and packs is a good way to go on my server they sell very well. I have never sold a chasis. All my money is made in ship parts.
