Personally, I have to disagree with this. The requirements for each profession vary drastically, and to just allow someone to pick the one they want is unfair to those who spent alot of time and/or money where they are. I understand why the devs are allowing combat players to respec, and I think it's mostly because the requirements have changed for many professions, and the roles have changed, and most peoples combat styles are no longer valid with the template they've built. This is not the case with crafters. Our role has not changed for the most part, especially shipwrights and pilots. There is no reason for us to have a respec.

As someone who has spent countless weeks gathering resources for shipwright just to reach master box, I'd hate to have someone who spend a few thousand credits on resources respec their character to match mine. Classes like AS take alot of time crafting to get the xp, I bet they wouldn't like someone who mastered something easy like artisan to respec and be an armorsmith.

First I just want to say " No one is Listening." The Devs are going through with this thing so don't think it will change. Just look at the millions of complaints on CU. Just lost in the crowd.

Personally I was against it at first. Now i'm just hoping that a whole bunch of peeps will choose shipwright to RE their own components and will ultimatly lead to a much bigger active player base in space who will still come to experienced shipwrights (with all the good resources), and therefore all our buisness will increase.

I don't think crafters should get the respec either. If you didn't originally level up a combat prof then why should you get a respec that allows you to instantly become an elite combat dewd? Makes no sense.

Agree

The CU is affecting most non-combat professions just as much, if not more than, the combat professions. And we pay the same $15/month as they do, so why not? So what if a combat prof decides to go AS, WS or SW? They won't have the crafting knowledge or resource collection to compete effectively anyways. Likewise, if a crafter goes combat, most of them probably won't be as effective as someone who's been combat from the beginning.

Let everyone respec their invested skillpoints.

Looks like the post has been deleted.

Got to say Im a bit annoyed at this Idea. Ive just spent best part of 10million credits to grind SW using bought resources. And now Im told if I waited 2 weeks I could have just been given master SW free?

Willit be mandatory to pay 10million credits if you want to respec as SW? I doubt it...

I agree that this is needed. I spent my own time and effort grinding other proffesions... some of it combat some crafting. Now the combat professions are changing and I was planning to become Master Artisan (which I already am),a Master Shipwright and Master Pistoleer.I will be able to respec to get Master Pistoleer but a good amount of my skill points willend upbeing dropped. Thatwas time that I spent that will need to again be re-grinded else where.

Everything I read and experienced will not allow for this.

NO, NO, NO, and Double NO!!! I mined for ages, I ground out that profession, and it cost dearly to do, as with my MBE, both MBE and MWS are the hardest (besides Jedi) to do, and no way should anyone get a free ride for it, PERIOD!
