A guy is selling it on my server. Min bid 5mil, buyout 12mil. He got it off a Wraith in the DWB. I wish it was a space loot, that would have been more cool. Looks like any shipwright hoping they could count on their pilot skills (myself included) to get some of these new tapes will be upset.
I could buy it, but honestly, the way our experimentation goes...... is it really worth anything to us lol?
Any thoughts , has anyone tested any of these new Shipwright CA.

Weapons are one of those things where an extra point or two would be pretty nice, but you've got to consider a) how much competition you've got, b) how many different categories of components we've got that we'd need tapes for (7? 8?), and c) how many extra weapons you'd have to sell to cover costs on a full set of weapon experimentation tapes.
Say we've got 7 categories of experimentation tapes. At 20 points apiece, if we were to pay similar costs to weapon and armorsmiths (on my server, anyway) and drop a million per point, we're looking at a total cost of 140M to have a complete shipwright experimentation bonus. To me, that's not worth it. Even for the more popular items like weapons and shields, I don't think 20M per category would be worth it. Not even close. 2M definitely, 5M maybe, 10M maaaaybe.. but 20M is, for me personally, out of the question.
The market on these will depend heavily on what shipwrights are willing to pay, but the differences between shipwrights and weapon/armorsmiths is so great I'd hope it'd keep prices on these things relatively low. It's not a matter of being cheap, it's a matter of maintaining a reasonable return on your investment.
I'd be pretty interested to see how these end up selling, though. Keep us updated on that auction?

Acutally I'm not in favor of thesetapes dropping. This profession was one of the "True Crafting" professions where resources came into play, not skill tapes.
Since the Devs felt they needed to add tapes to the game, why in the world would you have them drop in the ground game? For some of us, the space game has taken over our time vs the ground game. In my viewpoint, having skill tapes drop on the groundis a very poor decision.

It wouldn't be so bad if we didn't have so many crafting modifiers.

Yeah, i don't really see the value of the tapes. I bid a 1mil , someone just bid 3mil. I think i'm done bidding on this tape. Just not that valuable.

"Would 1 point really make that much of a difference here?" Very good question.
This profession, I had hoped, was to be different from all others. No true factory support for many of the finalitems whereindividual skills and usage of resource quality was going to be thedetermination of the final outcome of the product.
Now we get skill tapes andon top of that, ones that appear are coming from the "ground portion" and not the "space portion".From my viewpoint, I hope one realizes that this methodof obtaining the skill tapes is not helpingthe SWprofession at all.
Personally I've pretty much given up on the ground game...so in order for myself, at Lvl 38 combatlevel, having any chance inobtaining any type of SW skill tape from NPC's on the groundis remote at the best.
