Thread: Looted Components/Firespray for Chassis and RE'd Components on Bria

So I am running into a problem, and that is that I cannot find a Shipwright that actually monitors their vendors and keeps tabs on their goods. So I currentlysit at Freelancer 4-4-3-3 with absolutely no ability to refit my fighter or even find goods because nobody reloads their vendors after a patch, and so I cannot get item data from anyone...anywhere...at any time. This is on the Bria server, where the vast majority of merchants and crafters are so monied that God comes to them for payday loans, so they don't generally concern themselves with the needs of us mortals.

So this is what I propose:

I would like to find an active Shipwright, not someone who is going to say "drop me an email" that I will never get an answer to, who would be willing to supply me with a complete refit and chassis in exchange for all the loots that I get until they have assembled a complete Firespray.

Now, I mean for this to be a fair trade, not a rip of me or of the Shipwright. So what I need is someone who will work with me on this while I am pulling loots and bringing them in, keeping me in the best loadout I can get for the chassis I am using, and willing to stick it out with the volume of loots I pull. I drew down 42 looted components this evening in a couple of hours of flying and missions, and I have no one to give them to.

Now in exchange for keeping me in component loadouts and chassis, I will continue to bring all of my loots to the participating Shipwright until he or she has succeeded in securing all 8 pieces of a Firespray schematic. I will even setup a small house in New Wookieesburg and add the Shipwright to admin so they can come and pickup when it is convenient.

But this deal must be two ways. If you are only on once a week, do not jerk my chain. If you are wrapped up with another character, do not jerk my chain.

Once the initial deal is done and you have your complete Firespray schematic, I would be willing to continue supplying components to generate schema for a share, if you would so desire.

Anyway, sorry I had to post this here, but I got no luck from the post on the Bria forum. Here's hoping....

I am not on Bria but intrepid and have a setup with a guildy to do the same thing. I dont have a SW business because honestly keeping stocked when I have all my space on my vendors going to loot drops and the fact that every damn thing has to be hand crafted all I got to say is BLECK (and dont get me started on the massive amount of cheap pilots out there my favorite quote "70k for a master level ion cannon NO WAY!"

But enough ranting. I kind of wish I didnt have that arrangement because all those components since they arent stackable and you cant sort them by level are a BEAR to deal with. Not to mention I went through 1100 compoents and only thus far have 6 disks. Talk about ALOT of work man. Pretty much everytime I logon I have to cart houses and houses full of stuff back...sort it...RE it and I would say on any given weekend it takes me 4 hours to accomplish and still no Firespray lol. But what are guildys for right?

By the way wasnt trying to be a jerk but component drops for all the work involved to make that happen just to myself personally wouldnt be a fair trade. May be why you arent getting alot of responses

No no, not being a jerk at all, but that still leaves me in the same spot. Without someone to work out a deal with I cannot refit my ship, and I can't but components because I cant pull vendor data.

I would happily pay for what I need, if I could only find what I need.

I have no idea what to do.

hehe, if he were on my server I'd be down for it. I'd be getting free looted parts forever. I've never gotten a single firespray disk yet lol. Anyways I'd be more interested in it for the high end components than the actual firespray disks lol. The firespray isn't actually even that good, just a matter of having a relatively unuiqe ship.

Yeah, the system I came up with for sorting and storing components is basically this-- I have a storage vendor right next to my crafting station. In it I store backpacks with color-coded names, one for each component type and RE level (such as "Weapons 8" and "Capacitors 4", etc). I think of it as a filing cabinet. Pull a file, insert the items of the right type+level, and stick it back on the vendor priced at 9999999999 and with the global vendor search disabled.

I'm on Bria, and while not yet Mastered, I'd be more than happy to work with you on REing your loot, and improving your loadout. Send an in game mail to Aknab and as soon as I'm on tonight we could hammer out some details.
