POB == Portalized OBject. It refers to multiperson ships that you can get up and walk around in, such as the YT-1300.

It also stands for Player On-Board, according to the SOE Knowledge Base articles

Someone also told me that it stands for "Point Of Being". Which is right?

Officially it is Portalized OBject.


While it is most applied to the multiplayer ships it also applies to player buildings and is about an object you can walk into and choose the location of (by dropping a house, or flying a ship).
