Hi all,

Just a thing I hate the most about being a shipwright that I noticed recently while going after the Firespray (since I am imperial and get no ships with more then two weapons)

over 1000 items in my vendor for Reing even using the backpack by level and type method not being able to sort that many components (mostly given to me by one very active pilot) is a real hassle. Sadly i didnt see that mentioned in the already submitted SW issue thread.

Last run through it took me 4 hours just to sort them and RE them most of it was just plain sorting I mean WOW

I hear ya! That's why I place all items on my loot storage vendor with a sell value equal to their RE value (multiplied by 1000 to discourage the curious from buying me out lol). So RE 1 items are all listed for 10k, RE 5 items for 50k etc. Then it's easy to see what's what when your ready to RE a bunch of stuff.

My major problem is the way the SELL screen is laid out and the fact that an item's level often does NOT match it's RE level. I need to scroll down to the bottom of every item's description in the sell window since the damn graphic takes so much space and can't be shrunk or removed (that i'm aware of). Let us remove/reduce the graphic, or put the RE level up beneath the item's tech level and that's one less annoyance for me

The number one issue I would think, is that we have to resort to using vendors in order to store these things in the first place. As it is though, it is the best way we have.

I agree that the RE level being at the bottom is a bit of a headache too. Hang in there, I'll put something in about this. Remind me if you don't see it up there in a few days

I wondered if I was the only one to do that kind of price/sorting. I do the same kind of thing except an RE level 1 would be listed a 11000, RE level 2 at 12000, and so on. Thing is, is that pilots still buy the non-RE'd stuff before I get enough to RE them and no one has yet to sell me thier loot, even for 1500 cr per RE level.

I've taken to placing all re-able loot in a backpack by level and storeing it on a vendor.

Not just that, but customers complain about this as well--this is the number one reason why I leave the name of the component alone while crafting (with the exception of my trademark appended to the end). I personally don't sell looted components, and gave up on RE'ing a long time ago (primarily as a private protest of how much better looted components were than the ones I could craft at the time). However, when searching for a particular component, there is nothing in the name of the component that allows you easily search by its level.

Now, this all comes around to the discussion that has been going on in the Merchants forum for a long time. The categories and filters are far from robust and need to be rethought. Unfortunately, given recent experiences with the CU, I'm afraid of the devs mucking around with the database much more

Yeah, I store my stuff by using backpacks on a storage vendor. The vendor has global search turned off, and is located in a separate building from my sale vendors, so there's never confusion with pilots trying to buy my storage loot.

The backpacks are named by type and level, such as "Weapons 8" or "Capcitors 4". The backpack names are also color coded. Doing a name-sort allows me to find the backpack I need very quickly. When I RE an item, it gets a completely custom name, with the level in roman numerals (why can't we use numbers???). This doesn't cause any confusion because I don't actually craft any components. Just chassis and consumables. I actually like it this way.
