Thread: Space mining help!

I'm pretty clueless about this. I have made master SW, and wanted to start making the new post CU items. Most of them require Astroid resorces, including the mining lasers and tractor beams.
How do I get the materials to make the mining lasers and tractorbeams if I can't mine without them?
I don't care about the mining ship, as I don't have enough storage slots free to own one. I just want enough resorces to make texture kits and winglets.
Is there a guide someplace to begining space Miningthat doersn't involver the Y-8?

You need to start working for the Corellian Mining Corporation.
It's a series of quests that in the end will net you the Y-8.
You start the quest by looking for and talking to a guy named Flash in Kochiro. He is located in the bar, which I believe is on Level 1 or Level 2. He will send you to Dearic on Talus, where you will start working directly for the Corporation and recieve your 1st mining laser. (I quickly built a Mark III Laser for myself at this point.)

Check theShipwrightGuidesstickie at the top of this forum. There is an excellent Space Mining reference written by Red_Dwarf that will tell you everything you need to know.
