Thread: Capital Ships video (I hope they are craftable and pilotable)
just if they are craftable lol how much resources will one of those take to make lol
my guess would be 350k resources or more lol
but i would bet they won't make them craftable just questable like the new ships
The video you see is part of the quest that Imperial Aces can take to obtain a player controlled Corellian Corvette. The last mission in this quest requires that you disable the Corvette, board it, and take it over. If you take it over, the Corvette is yours. Thus, player controlled capital ships will NOT be craftable.
I have a feeling somehow you are right

I love the idea of capitol ships .
here are a few questions
Is this going to cost ?Or is it in apublish?
Will ther be more craftable stuff for master sw like me for even heavyer then elite guns and parts for pob?
When will this come out?
What ship will be for freelance?
I sugest a mon calimari ship?
Question a corvette is for imp because they captured it do rebs get same ship?
And what do freelance get?
How many ships can a corvette hold?
What will be limit of people on board?
Will there be a tractor beam like in new hope?
Could you convert this to the ultimit minning vessel?
What is the mass?
Is this ship made for deep space to take on destroyer because none can?
Shipwrights have had it bad for awhile this looks like a new market for us thx devs?
Please respond to this devs and players
master sw and corsec pilot

I heard this first hand from a friend that attended Fan Fest.
I'm sort of happy to hear this. I already cringe every time I make a master ship, watching 150K units of resources go in one click of the button. Ouch!

i know im not a SW and this may sound stupid but if it was craftable what about a subcompenent system where youd craft like 11 engine 4 reactors 2 capacitors etc and along with normal resource count do it that way...wouldnt need to be factory crate ones (if thats even possible). That way multiple SW's could work on it or have section for it like buy a schem from say a faction recruiter for "correlian corvette engine block" or "corvette bridge sectioning" and work from there?...

From the impressions I heard from my friend that attended Fan Fest, I don't think that "Player Controlled Capital Ships" will need components provided by a player. These are going to be different, in that they are "Player Controlled". For those that are interested, there is a focus thread on this topic in the Pilot Forum.

From what I understand, the notion of "Player Controlled Capital Ships" are going to be introduced in the next publish.

Don't know; however, in my opinion, I am pedal to the medal crafting given the status quo. More stuff? I'm not ready.
When will this come out?
From what I understand, the next publish (which will also feature the Smuggler revamp). In fact, I believe it is going on TC next week.
What ship will be for freelance?
I only know what Imperial Aces are being given--the Corellian Corvette.
I sugest a mon calimari ship?
Who knows, perhaps the quests that a Rebel have to run will be out of a Mon Calamarian Star Cruiser (like the M-80 or M-80A). However, I don't think players are going to be able to control anything so big--yet.
Question a corvette is for imp because they captured it do rebs get same ship?
Realize fully that the Imperial Navy uses Corellian Corvettes extensively. In fact, many of the Corvettes used by the Rebels were commandeered by the Rebels.
And what do freelance get?
You already asked this.
How many ships can a corvette hold?
Typically, the Corvette did not support a ship hanger, rather docking rings. However, there did exist several modified versions that supported a small hanger large enough to contain a shuttle or two TIE Fighters.
What will be limit of people on board?
This is a good question. If players can board the ship from docking rings or a hanger, then maybe the ship can contain individual players and/or multiple groups.
Will there be a tractor beam like in new hope?
Don't know.
Could you convert this to the ultimit minning vessel?
I doubt it. My friend's impressions from Fan Fest were that these ships could not be equipped.
What is the mass?
If they can't be equipped, this question is irrelevant.
Is this ship made for deep space to take on destroyer because none can?
Why not?
Shipwrights have had it bad for awhile this looks like a new market for us thx devs?
Shipwrights have had it bad? I don't know what you're doing, but I have never been busier since RotW went live.

I have a idea . For people storming the corvette in some books they have it were they diable then go to main hatch . But in others they have a mount were it cuts its own hatch and from pressure difference it holds and the ring cut out shoots out like a projectile.
