I bought a cap from a guy that is RE 6. Its energy says 1644/939. Can someone explain to me the difference between these two numbers? If I RE it will I get that 1644 or the 939? Thanks.

My guesswould be that someone usedcapacitor overload immediately preceding unequipping and selling it.

you will get the last number, 939. the first apear when you do an capacitator overcharge and land whit the overcharge active, then unload the capacitator.
hope that helped

Thats my guess too. I bought it as part of a bag of looted partsand it has 76xx mass so it isn't something the person did trying to scam me or anything like that. I just need to make sure that is the case. I definitely don't want to use it for the energy pool if I'm going to get stuck with that 939.

Yeah. Any time you see the first number larger then the second, the component has been overloaded just before it was unloaded.
Sometimes this happens with shields as well (though not sure how to reproduce this one) where they will show their charge as 10,000/xxxx
Thing about that one is yes, it is charged that much, but the first time it takes damage, it resets to the true max charge. Granted, that first shot it absorbs will be quite something.
