Im on the Kauri server and im 3443 neutral pilot... im looking to buy a YT-1300 transport but it seems the prices around on Kauri are 1.5 mill.. i can understand it being that expensive if your buying your own resources and all but I dont have that kind of money to shovel out... i figured that if your going by tiers, it goes about 10-150k and master would be reasonable at a price of 500-800k... i figure that if someone is going to seel a ship for 8mill like a firespray its only because JTL is new and people can get away with a rip like that... but i do understand the crafters who have to buy the resources.. but 8mill is a bit too much .... even 1.5mill is too much in my eyes but im not gonna complain about it, i just will buy somewhere else is all...
So in conclusion... If your a master shipwright on the Kauri server and you mine your own resources and could afford to sell me a YT-1300 for about 500-800k let me know.. ive recieved free Kimogilas in the past... so i figure that either money is all that important, that they shouldnt cost as much as they do, or that its just for the grind and exp is more important... but regardless... im getting off topic.. i just want a YT-1300 for a "fair" price in my eyes... thanks

I agree about the pricing on the YT-1300, but I don't think you're being fair about the firespray. It's not an item that can be easily reproduced. A shipwright has to reverse engineer thousands of components to get the (limited use) schematic.

LOL, that was funny. I am a master SW on kauri but I sell no less than 1.2 million sorry you will have to look for a cheap SW not someone that takes time and pride in their work!
You may try another Master Shipwright active on these boards Tyranus, but doubt he sells that low either!

Wow... I'm real glad I play on Bria.... y'all rip people off!!
I use top notch resources on all my ships and parts and I charge a flat rate of 5.5 cpu for ships.
That's $825k for people who don't wanna bust out the calculator

Yup I'm planning to charge about 5cpu for my ships to the general public (double that for rebels).
And regarding firesprays
I haven't seen one for less than 8 mil yet
however I have a schematic after reing a lot of parts and a list lined up for my guild members who get them first
so far it's me then ethun then creeg then ostea then ekad (when he gets master)
and they get them for free

It's pointless to worry about what folks on other servers will sell their master level ships for, you have to deal with the economy where you play. If the going rate is over one million credits, then you pretty much have to deal with it or go without.
Sorry if that sounds heartless, but coming here and complaining about how shipwrights are trying to rip you off isn't the best way to get someones co-operation. People who have made it to Master Shipwright have burned millions of resources and generally also spent millions of credits getting there, never mind the ongoing expenses (I personally spend about 5-7 million a week buying resources and that's with about 12-15 harvestors pulling resources. Since I'm not a cross-server lot trader it's impossible for me to mine enough to keep up with demand).
Given his original investment and ongoing costs, a shipwright will price his product at a point where he think he's getting a decent return on that investment. If the ships didn't sell at 1-1.5 million, then the prices would come down.

This is not entirely true cause you can transfer your character to another server.. Of course, you would lose all items and credits but at least it wouldput you in a new market.

So you want an already broke character who can't afford a master ship in his own galaxy, to forfeit all items/credits and transfer to a new galaxy, where even if cheaper, he still won't be able to afford them since he now has no credits. Makes no sense to me so your point is moot.

You are confusing anoption for a suggestion.. I didn't suggest anything, I merely made someone aware of an option that would allow a character to be transferred to a new server. I also mentioned the consequences in doing so....
