Thread: CRAFTABLE HARDPOINTS FOR CHASSIS

I'd like to propose a system similar to what DE's have. Each droid chassiscan hold x number of modules. You craft the chassis, craft the module, then put it all together.


I'd like to see the same for Shipwright. Each chassis would have the same number of total hardpoints as they do now except the Shipwright could mix and match them in the same manner a DE can do with droid modules.


That way you could have a B-Wing with 6 missles or 6 projectiles or 3 of each or... See where I'm going?


Also, this would allow Shipwrights to have much more control overthe final productand it would boostour custom order businesses. Right now every Shipwright has the same TIE Oppressor with 2 projectiles and 3 missles for sale on thier vendors. By customizing the hardpoints pilots would be encouraged to buy more chassis and therefor more $$$ for shipwrights.



  • For Imps, it would give us an opportunity to somehow customize our ships.

  • Rebels who only have 7 ships (Two of them Y-Wings) it would give them more variety as well.

  • Privateers already have variations of chassis and this would really add to thier experience.

i agree slightly. they should keep the hardpoints mostly the same, but make a couple of hardpoints variable. Like the B-wing which has 6 hardpoints, make 3 porgectile, 1 a missle, and 2 that can be either.

And I would like to see vehicles and droids made like ships in that modules could be swapped out (for vehicles this would of course mean adding modules).


As a DE/SW I get people needing to upgrade their droids as they increase in Astromech level, so have been making R5s just to get them thru the grind of Alliance Pilot.

Dang I didn't realise how bad a speller i am. But any ways the problem with your idea is that it could put game balance off a bit. a player could concevably make a all projectile B-wing and blow everything out of its way one shot. where as my idea keeps th balance a bit more, with those with a MP ship would love to have a forward facing cannon.
