One thing I hear alot about and have to agree on is that a person buys parts in a player city then has to go to a city to set up the ship. If anything goes wrong (too much mass, not enough energy, etc) they have to travel back to the player city and get different parts. This can get annoying. I was doing an aggressor for myself and had travel back and forth 4 times to my crafting station to get it right. It still isnt right so I will have to do it all again a few more times til I get it right. I know I could use my droid but it doesnt have the FR rating of my station and not everyone is a shipwright with a droid anyway.

I would like to suggest a player city starship terminal that does NOTallow you to fly in or out of a city. It only allows you to see the ship and the parts so you know all is well and can go on to the main city to build the ship.

Of course the chassis dealer is a problem but allowing us to use blueprints wouldnt affect this as you would still have to go to the chassis dealer later.

I agree but hey if we can not get a SW trainer why not either a. have a chasis dealer at ALL major star ports, or b. allow mayors to place one inside their city. They would not get anything from the NPC being used toward their city, but would be a major convenience for others not just inlcuding the shipwright himself!

Last i checked you can view your ship and its components from anywhere in your datapad....has that changed?

Yes you can do that but hes saying try it in your ship being able to place the parts into the ship at the Player City but have to fly from another place.

Don't want to sound like an A*hole, but you can see in your datapad how much mass you have to work with, you can view component stats, you can use a computer so you can probably write too. Bust out a calculator and a pad of paper...I know it isnt as cool as seeing the ship at a terminal and all, but I am willing to bet your request will fall on deaf dev. ears. I have put together all of my starships this way..Z95, Y wing LP and X wing. I have never once gone over on mass or energy when I actually went to the starport to build my ship.

Yeah you end up writing a lot, and scratching out a lot, but you dont have to waste the money or time travelling to and fro

How could you place parts into your ship at a Player City if your ship isn't located there? If you ship is in Theed then you have to go to Theed to swap parts.

You can always select 'View Components' from your datapad...
