Ive been pretty lax so far, in that Ive made no effort whatsoever to find out about RE. After chatting with a few other Imperial pilots, it seems RE is the way to go for our low-mass ships, so I was wondering if someone could take the time to explain how it all works in detail.

i'd like to know as well. i was under the impression there would be a % added equal to the number of components in the tool, and the 2 components had to have identical names. now, i find out (i think) that the names don't need to be the same, just the RE level, and that the bonus is applied by the best of each stat from each individual component
(ie, 2 RE-2 reactors added. one has 10k gen. and 20k mass, the other has 20k gen. and 10k mass. the final component output would be 10k mass and 20k gen, and a 2% bonus added on to that)
