Thread: Do resource stats matter?

Like any other crafted item, I would suspect that the quality of resources matter but I read that it doesn't make that big of a difference. I've tried to find a list of stats needed on each resource so I could help harvest for Shipwright buddies but haven't found a single listing. If anyone could point me in the right direction or be kind enough to just post what the schematics screen says for most components, I'd much appreciate it. I'm not a shipwright at all so I've been basically saving my lots and harvesters for a long enough while.

Thnx in advance,

For chassis the resource quality is not a big deal. Using middle-of-the-road quality resources will allow you to max out the mass of the chassis. You might want to use slightly better resources when building Imperial ships though, those are so "mass challenged" that the ability to add even a few hundred more can be the difference in the pilot being able to use a component or not.

For components however, resource quality is critical. The only exception to this is paint/texture kits, use whatever crud you have around for these.

Could anyone by chance post what stats are actually useful then? I'm guessing stats such as OQ, Conductivity, and I'm sure a couple others.

Zigmund's Shipwright Guide is stickied at the top of the forum. It gives a good overview of the resources needed and the important qualities. I don't know if there is any thread or place where you can find the full listing of all shipwright schematics.
