Thread: Can you reverse engineer a level 10 capacitor with RE 10 with a level 10 capacitor with RE 5?

No, the level 10 RE 5 must be RE'd with other level 5 caps. Because of the way the stats are, you'd be better off looking for a level 4 or 6 capacitor. I haven't seen any level 5 cap above 23 regen or 800 capacity.

It is actually not a bad question. The RE lvl does not always correspond to the certification lvl of the component. This seems to be true very often for droid-interfaces for some odd reason. But I have seen it on other parts too.
I have so far only done RE on parts that had both the same certification levels and RE levels. So I am not sure.

Very interesting. I wonder if the order in which you dump them into the tool matters. AFAIK the default name of the RE'd component will be that of the first one you dump into the tool. Maybe it is similar with the levels.

That's correct.
If you would have put the Cert2 capacitor into the tool first, and the Cert4 second, the result would have come out Cert2.

I have 2 Cert5 capacitors over 42, and a third that was 43.x, RE'd it to 44.9.

I put a cert 10 (re 3) military Droid interface and 3 RE/cert lvl 3 droid interfaces, and got a cert 10 droid interface that had the same appreance of the military one. It seems that Cert level and apperance of the first item placed in the analyzer tool.

I've been looking for them, believe me. I just haven't found any, neither have any of my friends. I've seen posts from other server boards which state they can be found.
The name, appearance and cert level all depend on the first component you drop into the RE tool.
