Thread: are diamonds used in anything?

Trying to figure out what use diamonds are to a shipwright. Seems like the most challenging asteroid should have some payoff for a shipwright.

Thanks. At least there is one thing that uses diamonds.
It is still pretty stupid that the most challenging asteroid is only used in one item thus decreasing the value of the asteroid. Most ship parts need to be created for the diamond or let the diamond be used in place of crystal but with higher qualities.
