Nope.

The only way to improve a part of your ship is by replacing it for a better one.

Maybe (MAYBE) in the future Smugglers will be able to slice components (or at least we were promised that), but after nearly 2 years of waiting for the Smuggler Revamp, I wouldn't put much faith on this.

Use a droid/flight computer along with a droid interface. Program the droid/computer with a Reactor overcharge program and run it when you launch. If you can not program this yourself, get another pilot to burn the program to a chip.

Good catch. Using droid programs is an excellent way to get more juice from your components. Of course you will get more juice from a better components, but maybe running Reactor ¿Overcharge? will be (should be) enough if all you need is more energy from your reactor.

Check the Pilot forum, it has some very good posts stickied to the top that explain how to use Droids with your ship.
