Thread: POB Vs. Y-8?
POB-only (elite components) can be use in the Decimator, YT-1300, Nova, and Y-8
Y-8 only components can be use in the Y-8.
That clear it up for you?
thats about the only difference I have found.
oh and the Y-8 only Capacitor is only 100K mass not 250K like the Elite POB only, I made one with 57 recharge..

Yeah i just made two elite blasters for someone, he supplied teh asteroids and I was not amazed by the damage, was really hoping for something big like 4k+ to start.

ya the POB blaster's aren't really that great, average damage(4100ish) but they are much faster than most looted/re'ed lvl10 weapons. So they certainly have their places but don't expect great things out of the POB guns.
However the POB shields and capacitors have great stats on them. The POB shields come out to roughly 3150/3150 with a 19.74 recharge rate. And my cap came out to roughly 65recharge/1225 energy.
And to answer the original question again, POB parts can be put into ANY POB ship the Y-8 is also a POB ship. So any POB parts can be used in any POB ship including the Y-8. however their are specific parts for the Y-8 which can ONLY be used in the Y-8, none of the other POB ships can use a part that is specifically a Y-8 component.
And just for clarification POB = Portalized Object. A Portalized Object is any ship(or moving structure) that you can get up and walk around in. So a Krayt M22 or the Aggressor or Ywing would not be considered POB ships even though they are multipassenger ships, because you can not leave your station and move around in the ship.
