It's most likely that the first days after P24 hits live there'll be a high demand for the new Elite components, maybe far higher than the offer.
So, how much are you planning to charge for each newly crafted elite component when P24 hits live?

I guess it depends on actual stats. If I make a 3000-5000 damage weapon I'd like to see 500k to 1Mil. The customer will deside.

If that's the case then I'm going to double my asteroid resource prices, lol. You know the required space recourses are going down, right?

I'm gonna treat it just like any new technology coming out. Keep my prices around the same for the people that have to be the first to have the new products, then bring the prices down slowly as supply and demand changes.

Here's a news flash for ya: It's not the love of money. It's trying to stay sane when the profession isn't always wine and roses. You try spending an entire day doing nothing but craft until you get carpal tunnel, only to have 80% of your stock sell out the next day. It gets realy exhausting quite fast, and if I didn't like the profession I would quit entirely. This is what I charge to make the endeavor worth my time and effort. If you were on my server and didn't like it, then it shop somewhere else.

I charged 355k for elite parts, but I won't begin making them again until pub 24. My price is going to go up for several reasons:
1) Insatiable customer demand
2) While the resource requirement has been halved, it is still difficult to get
3) My time is worth money. I don't play the game around the clock. If customers are going to be crawling up my butt with custom orders they can compensate me and my faithful miner for our time.
4) The performance boost is worth money. You want the best you pay for it.
I am going to start out a 500k per elite component, and my sexy miner is entitled tomore $$ for components that requirediamond (don't remember which one that is off the top of my head) since you get nasty aggro in Kessel in the asteroid fields. If they sell out faster than I can restock (which happens to me a LOT) then the price will go even higher.

1M per.
Building Shields, Engines, Weapons, Reactors and Caps only. Possibly some chassis to go with and be sold at the livable (for me) price of 600k per.

hmm undecided atm but as I will be using pre-pub 24 asteroid resources I will factor in the 100CPU cost for them

I'm going to take a wait-and-see approach. This will probably mean that I'll miss out on the first few days of sales, but I really hate just slapping some arbitrary price on stuff without understanding what is driving the market price, other than demand. I want to get up there and mine stuff to see how it has changed, do some experimenting on components, do a little secret shopping to see what others are up to (you look out pwiffo! j/k
). It should be fun though; can't wait for this to hit live!
