Thread: Name reserved?

why do i get this alot when i try to rename my RE'ed parts, i mean ive even tried mixing in my character name and it says reserved or can we just not use quotation marks in a name?

I believe it's only letters and a select few special characters that can go into a name. Don't remember the exact rules on it, but I know numbers are taboo. Quotes are also taboo, but hyphens are acceptable.

No numbers.

Watch out for "hidden" naughty words in perfecty innocent words "A$$ault cannon".

Watch out for "hidden" character names in words like the "elepHANt gun".

Roman Numerals are ok though so numbering shouldn't be a problem.
Of couse 214 would end up like what? CXIV?

Couldnt even put "Countermeasure" in my vendor name.

This isn't from an RE part name, but it's probably the best example of unintentional profanity I've ever seen.


I occasionally put the profanity filter on because it's funny. Lowca had a city on Dant where people frequently ran rebel missions. Some guildies were talking about meeting up there and I couldn't figure out why in the world the middle of this city's name was being filtered -then it hit me.The city's name: Sweetwater.


I nearly wet my pants laughing.
