I have made a chassis, but can't figure out how to turn that into a ship. Embarrasing question from an old vet coming back...

once you have made the schem, you take it to a Chassis dealer (located at the startport) who will activate it for you (at a price). then that will be placed into your data pad.

Might want to check the sticky threads in the Pilot forum, as well as this one, if you're just getting started. There's a lot of new little things like this to overcome.

Chassis Blueprints are given to the Chassis dealer found in every Starport, and turned into a Deed for a price. Once you have a Deed, it goes into your datapad.
