Sorry for the noob shipwrite questions, but here goes.
Last night someone gave me a tell asking if I would sell him two looted blasters that were on my vendor that I had been saving (priced at 8888888). They were 2 lvl 8 MandelMotors Heavy's with max damage of 3200-3300 and mass of around 32-35K. I've just been pricing loted items at 5k/cert lvl (eg lvl2-3 = 10k, lvl4-5=15k, lvl6-7 = 20k, lvl8 = 25k). So I offered him 50k for the pair...he said no way and imidiatly offered 500K for the pair!!

On average, I loot 1 L8 for a single Tier 4 destroy duty followed by 30 minutes messing in deep space. 90 minutes of work for 1 L8 with possibly good stats or only good as filler component. It's hard to give any prices to it. E.g. I would never buy a filler L8. I know I can get one with 90 to 180 minutes of flying which I don't mind. But I can also certainly see myself paying upto 4 million for a pre-REL8 gun with 25k mass orstatslike vs .700+.

looted... go for it unless you plan on using them one day. I've had to teach myself to just let go of the stuff that I would never use.

The goal of RE is to create the uber part. Look for the extremes for each stat of the part you are saving. If all of the stats are average, then it is used to "fill" the required number of items needed to complete the RE. If you have enough "filler" parts, then sell what you don't need for as much as you can get.

On Starsider, Level 8 Weapons go for better than 25K. Those also sound high end on damage, though not extremely so. sounds like the guy was trying to be fair.
Personally, I buy all the level 6 and 8 guns I can get my hands on as a shipwright. I can sell intelligently RE'd Lvl 6 and 8 guns for a lot more than I can sell the partsindividually... Makes for inventory nightmare though.

I have been charging 5k per equipment level (35k for level 7 equipment) and haven't been able to keep weapons on my vendor. It totally depends on your servers economy though, Intrepid is pretty high. I have been told that I sell too cheap as well.
