I have heard it mentioned that when inuse a blaster rate of fire is rounded off to the second decimal place. can anyone confirm this? is it rounded up , down, or off as a normal decimal calucation?

You mightquestion why I bother asking.Well, there are two reasons.

When making blasters there are a few situations where maxing the speed line gives me more DPS on paper, but the last point won't actually give a working increase and would be better spent on say, shield effectiveness on an advanced orperhaps max damage on a Null Bolt Blaster

The second is that when choosing guns to RE together if you are forced to choose between two guns, on 0.002 faster and one 200 mass lighter, the 0.002 speed might not make a difference where the mass would

Another question is this, For damage to components (disabling guns/engines on large ship) and also the chassis itself what weapon effectiveness category is applied? One would logicallyassume "armour" but knowing the"logic" of SWG's programmingit wouldn't suprise meto find outthe dev'scoded itfor "shield" (or even "lightsabre"It could also be thatcomponents/chasiss take the full listed damge of the weapon without effectiveness being applied.

The reason for that questions is that while maxing the effectiveness gives you better DPS once the speed tree is done. if you were making a "corvette killer" setup then disruptors or ion cannons with maxed out effectiveness (or damage-maxed blasters if total damage is applied)would be preferable for disabling its multifarousgun turrets. Please feel free to comment flame or bump away, but please leave out information that is puresupposition, I am after hard preferably tested facts, or answers straight out of the code.

But hey, anything you can share is good right?
