I picked up my first harvester today. After my happy sucess with crafting a couple of engines, I've decided to try a few other things (I had originally planned to mostly just RE), and I'm kind of sick of buying resources from other people. So I grabbed a harvester, and I started scouring Naboo for steel. I've found a few really good spots, too. The only problem is that I can't put the harvester down on those spots. It is my guess that it is because the area is too hilly, but it completely boggles my mind how mineral harvesters are supposed to work, then. So far, I've seen that most minerals are found in the hilly/mountainous areas. Is there something I am overlooking with this? I've been driving around Naboo for several hours now, and I can't seem to find anywhere that will let me put my harvester down.

first make sure you have enough open lots =)...Ctl + C go to personal and see how many open lots you have =) make sure its more than 0 =)

depending on the harvestor you have it can be placed in different spots...there is a VERY nice guide on the artisan forums detailing use of them...basically....personal can be placed pretty much anywhere...pretty much everythin but the sides of steep clifs =)...mediums are a bit more restrictive...heavies can pretty much only be placed on level ground...

harvestors can also not be placed within a certain range of static cities...but can be placed RIGHT next to player city boundaries

ALSO the big kicker that really blows...creature lairs take up MASSIVE amounts of space...and unles you have combat skills your SOL...and will have to "convince" someone to come kill it for you =)

that's bout all I can think of that's really important atm =)

Dont forget that you can right click when in the placement window. This will allow you to rotate your harvestor. You might find a place after you rotate it.
