Thread: New RE Bug-Just me or anybody else?

I have noticed for the past week or so that my RE components (any of them) are NOT getting the RED (Reactor Energy Drain) bonus applied to the final product. The bonus is computed and displayed on the readout screen (the one that shows you how improved the new product is), but checking the final product, the bonus is NOT applied. It correctly uses the lowest stat out of all the combined parts, but that stat carries through into the final product. I have spoken with a few SW's on my server, and nobody has even noticed! I have sent a bug report, but nothing has come of it. Am I making bad tools or what? Is there a limit on how low the RED can go? (and am I hitting it every time?) Someone please tell me I am not insane.

I am very meticulous about the parts i use for RE. If I am trying for a level 10 part, i wait until i have like 15 components to choose from. Then I write those down. Everything. I write down, in column form, every single stat on every singlecomponent. Then, I go through and highlight thebest stat in every catagory across all the parts (lowest mass, lowest drain, highest hp and armor, etc etc). Then, when i have the best stats picked out, I put those highlighted parts into my bag, and then choose the other needed ones as filler. The reason I do this, is because I want to know what the BASE stats will be on my new item. Thats before whatever percentage is added to the RE process. I'm not sure what it is, so I don't bother paying attention to it. The point is that I KNOW what the base stats of every component I get RE'ed will be. However, I just got a level 10 capacitor RE'ed and the Mass was HIGHER than the base on the parts I had selected.

Almost the same here, I make columns and sheets and reams of everything I do also...but the only one I have noticed not getting the percentage, is the RED (Reactor Energy Drain). None others, ever. Now the RED does not get the bonus, at all. It still gets the best stat...and the Technical readout page shows what the stat should be after the bonus is applied, but the final product does NOT get the bonus: it remains the lowest RED out of all the parts I combined.

I was RE'ing some level 8 and 9 guns this morning and the RED came out right. mabe i was just careless, but the energy per shot was drastically lower than the best one I put in I thought. I was thinking the best was about 25 per shot but somehow ended up with 13 per shot in the end.

You got 13 per shot because you used a Borstel Disruptor.
As for the reactor drain issue, this has been broken since BEFORE 11.5.

ah, it was the quest reward. this is good because I'm actually taking my rebel ace up the neutral after trying the krayt with one of my other characters.

This has been broke again since RotW launch. This is pushing 60 days or so now...is there a line in to get this fixed again? My stockroom is getting awefully full waiting to RE stuff....
